Wednesday News: March 13

Wednesday News: March 13

So usually for the weekly news update I find some article online that gives us some news on a book, author, or something in that field, but this week I have something a little different.

I’ve always had a love of books and reading, and had a dream of being an author. I remember there were a bunch of times as a kid where I would write out a short story or a small book in class instead of paying attention.

My books were often about knights or heroes of some sort, and usually were torn up or lost before anybody else read them.

I didn’t mind that, it was more of a personal quest. Write books of the heroes I want, going on the adventures I want.

I’ve sort of accepted that I won’t be some famous author. I won’t sell millions of copies of my books and be considered a ‘classic’ writer in my genre.

I still love writing though, and I would love to write a book, and I have been thinking about it a lot lately now that school is almost done.

My biggest problem was coming up with a subject matter and genre. Did I want to write about some heroes going on a fantasy adventure? A detective novel? Sci-fi?

I had no idea, but I knew I wanted to write a book on something that I knew I could write.

After much thinking, I came up with an idea. I’m not gonna tell you here until I’ve hashed out the details and know I am going to go through with this, but I guess this is my official announcement.

It is still in the works, but I plan on writing a book myself.

I hope you all are as excited as I am. I’m a bit scared at the same time, but I think it’ll be exciting once I start doing it.

Stay tuned in the next few weeks for some more information on it. It’s probably going to fill up the Wednesday News posts for the next few weeks.
