Top 10 Tuesdays: 5 Characters I’d Be Friends With and 5 That I Wouldn’t

Hello, Lovely Bookworms!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

This week’s prompt is about 10 different characters that I would like to be friends with. I really couldn’t think of that many characters that I’d want to be friends with, so I came up with 5 I’d like to be friends with and 5 that I would never in a million years want to be friends with.

Who would I like to be friends with?

1.) Tarzan (Tarzan and the Apes)

Tarzan would be an awesome friend. Not only because he could help me meet some gorilla friends, but also he takes care of the ones he cares about. Plus who better to back you up in a sticky situation?

2.) Gandalf (Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit)

All-powerful wizard with cool ass fireworks and just a flare for mischief? Yes please.

3.) Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes)

He might be a bit of an ass, and too smart for his own safety, but who wouldn’t want the most deductive mind in the world as a sidekick. Well to be more specific I’d be worse than Watson, and wouldn’t even be worthy of being a Sherlock sidekick, but maybe I can admire him from afar.

4.) Kaladin Stormblessed (The Stormlight Archive)

Hard working, caring, and puts himself before everyone else. I see myself a lot in Kaladin, so I think we would make good friends.

5.) Jack/Mary (The Magic Treehouse)

These two took me on some wild adventures when I was a kid, and being their friends and sharing stories with them would be awesome. I couldn’t pick between the two because they sort of come as a team, but two friends are better than one.

and who would I never want to be friends with?

1.) Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter)

I don’t even need to describe why I wouldn’t want to be friends with Umbridge do I?

2.) Daisy Buchanan (The Great Gatsby)

Spoiled, selfish, and too materialistic. I don’t think she earns quite enough hate for how bad of a person she really is.

3.) Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones)

There is a four letter word that would describe this man, and it begins with a C. I shall not utter it though.

4.) Victor Frankenstein (Frankenstein)

Truly the monster, Dr. Frankenstein would not make a good companion. I’d probably be too scared of him trying to harvest my organs or something.

5.) Romeo (Romeo & Juliet)

Idiot. Horny. Selfish. Dumb. I wouldn’t be looking to make friends with Romeo or Juliet.
