Top 5: Type It Out Tuesday

Hello my dear dear readers. It is always a pleasure to be here, giving you writing prompts.

I had found a few over the past few weeks that I was inspired by, so I thought I would share them with you too.

Hopefully one of these inspires someone out there to write their next great masterpiece.

The world you live in has such advanced scientific knowledge, that you are able to see every person’s stats like they are in a video game. Strength, speed, interests, weaknesses. You can see it all.

You walk into a used book store one day, and you happen to notice one book has your name on it. You open it and begin reading, and soon realize it is a detailed account of your life. You skip ahead and you read about yourself finding the book…
Do you read your book to the end?

The day after your 16th birthday, you head downstairs in the morning and make some breakfast. You go back up to your room to get ready for school, but it is as if there is an invisible barrier stopping you from entering the room. Over the day, this same sensation happens again and again, and you realize you can’t enter a room more than once.

You wake up in the morning with a throbbing pain in your arm, and you look to see a strange tattoo on your wrist. You call for your wife, and suddenly the number goes down. You yell again, and the number goes down again. You’re 42 years old, and you seemingly only have 157 words left to speak in your entire life.

You are a freed genie who grants wishes you hear people mutter under their breath

You find a genie’s lamp in an antique shop, and as a joke you rub it. A genie pops out, but after thousands of years of being stuck in the lamp…the genie has a bit of an attitude. He grants wishes, but only those that people say under their breath in a moment of anger.

I hope you all enjoy these writing prompts, and again I hope they can inspire you to create something truly wonderful.
