Short Update on My Life

Hello dear readers, today’s post will be short, I promise. I just wanted to give you a brief update on my life, since I think you are entitled to know what I am going through.

I have been lucky enough to have a new job that I just started this week. I know a lot of people are out of work right now, and many more are strapped for cash, but I have been lucky enough to be hired into a position with a really awesome non-profit where I live.

I have been working from home and will likely be doing that until September. It’s a bit odd getting used to that still, but I have figured out a good routine that keeps my mind spaces separate.

With a new job comes a lot of learning and a lot less time to myself. I have been trying my best to better my skills and focus on my work, and I plan to keep doing that for my job. This however will likely leave me with less time on social media through the day.

I will try to engage with people in the morning before work and during my breaks, but otherwise the amount of social media time I will have will be drastically reduced. I’ve been taking up at 6:00 a.m. every day in order to do some writing. It’s not much, but I’ve been getting about 400 words done a day.

I plan to keep the frequency of blog posts the same, since I usually write those the night before anyways.

Anyways, that’s all really. I am staying safe and healthy, and doing my best to support BLM movements that I can afford to. The biggest thing is to read and learn. Learn what you can do better, learn how you can help, learn others’ pain.

When we understand others, even just a tiny amount, we better ourselves as humans and as a society.
