Type it Out Tuesday: April 30

I’m back again this week with another writing prompt to get your creative juices flowing. I hope you all enkoy them.

I really enjoy the ones this week, and I think you will too. As always, I’d love to hear some ideas you guys have.

#1: Turn one of the last texts you sent into a story.

#2 Add an original scene to the last movie you watched.

#3 Write a letter to your 14-year old self

We are back ladies and gentlemen, and I’ve got a few Six Word Stories for you to enjoy.

As always, let me know what you think in the comments.

This week’s writing prompt is a little different than others I’ve posted before. Instead of giving you a few sentences to spark your creativity, I thought a picture could do wonders, so here it is. Based off of the below picture, write a story, or a part of a story.

As always, I’d love to read it so feel free to shoot me a comment or email.

Type it Out Tuesday: April 9

I’m back for yet another week of writing prompts for you, and this week’s are really good. I hope you enjoy them, and as always, I’d love to hear what ideas come to mind when you read them.

A terrorist group has been infiltrated by so many agencies that it is now run by spies, unbeknownst to the spies themselves.

This fact becomes apparent to an actual extremist who joins their group.

You were born with a birth mark the shape of a 9 on your wrist.

One day you get in a fatal car accident, and suddenly wake up in a strange room.

The first thing you notice is the 9 has changed to an 8.

Type it Out Tuesday: Six Word Stories for April 2

Hey everyone! I have a few more six word stories for everyone, and they’re gooooooood but might make you sad.

Hope you enjoy!

Brought roses home, keys didn’t fit.

Goodbye mission control. Thanks for trying.

March Madness Bracket: Book Edition

If you live in North America, and possibly other places in the world, you have likely heard of March Madness.

It’s basically a big basketball tournament for American College schools that tales place in March and April. I’m not a basketball fan, but from what I understand it’s basically their playoff season, but I could be wrong.

People go nuts for this, betting hundreds and thousands of dollars on it, and making bracket guesses left and right hoping that they’ll win some money off the teams they picked.

I’m sure there are THOUSANDS or even TENS OF THOUSANDS of people in North America who don’t give a shit about this March Madness crap, so I’m going to offer them an alternative, a better alternative.

MAY MAYHEM

That’s right, this year will be the first ever May Mayhem bracket, which will feature 64 of the best Fantasy Book series (change the genre every year) that I could find, and they’ll be thrown into a randomly generated bracket where people will be able to vote for the winner.

Now I don’t actually know if this is a good idea, and I haven’t worked out all the details yet, but I think (and really hope) people will be interested in this enough to want to vote on it.

I’ll make sure to have some updates now and then as to what’s going to happen, but let me know what you think of this idea in the comments or shoot me an email.

I think it’s a fun idea to do for the book community and have a bit of friendly competition as to whos favourite book series will prevail.

Type it Out Tuesday: March 26

It’s that time of week again. The time where I give you some writing prompts to spark the creative part of your brain that’s been sleeping for the past few days.

We finally get men on Mars and they discover an old Soviet flag placed there decades ago.

The Soviets won the space race but for whatever horrifying reason didn’t say anything.

Oh I really like this one. It would be a very interesting and I could definitely see a movie made out of this one.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione aren’t actually wizards or in the wizarding world.

They are high on drugs and hallucinating throughout their journeys.

The cops are Dementors and Dimbledore is a crazy old homeless man.

As always, I’d love to see what you can make of these, or any ideas that come to mind. Let me know in the comments.
