My Very Own Blogging Award

Hello dear readers, I have a bit of news for you today that I hope you’ll enjoy.

One of my goals this year was to come up with a blogging award. Originally it was supposed to be an award to showcase a selfless blogger who is always there to share a nice word and who is always willing to help others.

I had ideas to get that idea rolling, but nothing solid yet, so I might just hold that in my back pocket till I can work out the kinks.

BUT in the process, I did come up with what I think will be a really fun award that will get people wanting to do book tags.

I won’t give away too much just yet, but the name of the award is the Avatar Blogger award.

If you know anything about the show Avatar, you might be able to figure out that you might need to master four different elements or something??? I guess you’ll just have to wait and see.

What I can tell you is that the first part of that Award will be coming out tomorrow…so stay tuned!

Behind the Blogger Tag

Hello my loyal readers. I grace you with a second post of the day. One that you didn’t know you wanted, but you know you needed it.

I was tagged by the ever wonderful Kat @ KBookreviews. Make sure you check out her blog because I won’t be mad if you don’t, I’ll be dissapointed! Her reviews are a lot of fun and easy to read, and she is just a lovely person all around.

Why did you start blogging? & Why have you kept blogging?

Blogging was a school assignment to get us to learn how to come up with weekly content and how to market something. We were given the assignment in our first class at the end of August, and by the second week in September I knew it was something I loved doing. so I broke the rules and started posting content more often than I needed to.

By October I bought a domain and not long after I was coming out with near daily content. I obviously kept the blog going after school was over, and plan on keeping it going for a long time.

What is your favourite type of blog post to write?

It depends on the post, but generally it would be book reviews and my Thursday Thoughts posts. I just like giving a bit of depth to my writing that a Wednesday News or Top 10 Tuesday just doesn’t.

What are your top three favourite blog posts you wrote?

Currently my top three favourite posts are:

  1. The Hunger Games vs. Divergent – I love analyzing things, and having two things go head to head. Plus it was a lot of fun to give my opinions on two popular book series.
  2. Bookish Habits I am Guilty Of – It was fun discussing how many people had the same problems as me haha.
  3. Book Review: Dungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbook – Don’t really have a reason for this other than it was fun writing about a book without a real story.

What are some of your favourite things to do to relax?

Other than reading, I love doing jigsaw puzzles and watching Netflix. If it’s hot out I like laying in the sun.

What are three of your favourite things?

Othe than my books I would have to say:

  • I love Anime and the show Supernatural
  • Watching Marvel and Star Wars movies
  • Cooking, though I am quite bad at it.

What are your proudest blogging moments?

UHHHHHHHH. Well since I am super hard on myself, I’d probably say that there’s nothing that I am too proud of. I mean I am proud that I come up with daily content and my blog is growing, but I don’t think I have hit many significant milestones yet to be too proud of.

What are your hobbies outside of blogging?

Sketching, Netflix, anime, going for walks, puzzles and flying kites!

Describe your personality in three words

Geek, relaxed, curious.

What are your top three pet peeves?

People who don’t pull their weight, people who walk REAL slow, and when people don’t try things at least once.

What’s something your followers don’t know about you?

Even though I can’t dance well, even if my life depended on it, and my singing causes birds to fall from the sky, I love singing to myself and doing a bit of a dance now and then.

I am tagging these wonderful folk, because they are wonderful bloggers that you need to follow, and because they were the most recent 5 people in our group chat! Don’t feel obligated to do the tag, but I’m watching you!
