Type it Out Tuesdays: February 19

From what I could find, there really isn’t anything special about today, but since it is Reading Week for a lot of college and university students, I thought I’d make this week’s writing prompt related to that…

Here it is:

You’ve booked a last minute vacation with your best friend. You saw how cheap the flights were and couldn’t pass up an oppportunity to spend a week on a beach in Mexico.

After a lenghty flight sitting next to a crying baby and the grandma who fell asleep on your shoulder, you finally check in to your hotel and are ready to hit the beach.

You find some open chairs and you lay down to soak up that hot sun, when you spot the most perfect specimen (gender is your choice) coming from the water.

What happens next?

Hope you all enjoy this one. As always, if you get a chance to write anything using one of my writing prompts I’d love to hear about it.

Type it Out Tuesday: February 12

Since it’s Valentine’s Day coming up in a few days, I figured that people would appreciate a Valentine’s Day themed writing prompt…the thing about this one is that it’s for all those single people who don’t have anything to do on Valentine’s Day (which is more than okay because being single isn’t a bad thing).

Here it is:

It’s Valentine’s Day, and this is the first time you’ve been single in a while, but you won’t let that get you down. You decided to stay at home and binge watch that new Netflix show you found.

Continue from there, and describe the perfect evening to yourself.

As always, I’d love to see what you can make of this.

Since it’s Chinese New Year today, what better way to celebrate than a writing prompt based off of just that.

So here it is:

The 12 Zodiac animals get together, as they do once every year to celebrate the new year.

The only problem is, there is one missing. The 11 animals soon realize that Pig is missing, and nobody has heard from him in a long time.

The animals go off together in search of Pig.

I hope you enjoy this one. I think it’s an interesting idea, and could be a really good idea for a book. (if you use it for a book just let me know or give me credit please lol)

I tried to think of a good writing prompt that was puzzle related, but I couldn’t think of anything that I liked, so I hope the following works:

Begin a story with the following:

“If I had known then, what I know now, I never would have…”

Continue that opening and try to complete it in 500 words or less
