Top 10 Longest Books I Own

Hello my dear readers, I welcome you to a post where I will be bragging about the books I own.

I was looking at my shelves last week, and I noticed I had a lot of large hardcover books. (As soon as I wrote that, a good post idea came to mind).

Since it was time for a Top 10 Tuesday, what better way to share my longest books with you, and maybe hear what your longest books are.

Looking through mine, I was surprised how many of my list were actually paperback!

For clarity’s sake, I am only counting the book page count that contains the story. I am not including any indexes, previews for future books, a glossaries, or anything of the sort.

You probably won’t be surprised that this list is basically made up of a small list of authors.

Let’s talk about your longest books in the comments, or send me a message on social media!

Books That Blew My Mind (No, Not Literally)

Hello ladies and gentlefolk, welcome to yet another Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by the one and only, Bionic Book Worm. This week’s topic is five books that exceeded my expectations.

If you don’t already, please check Bionic Book Worm for some terrific Top 5 Tuesday ideas, and posts in general.

Fault in Our Stars

Like I mentioned in the review, The Fault in our Stars really blew me away on how it hit my soul. I did not expect it to connect with me or make me feel the way it did.

Bullets, Teeth & Fists 3

I had never really opened a gory book, or at least one that was gory for the sake of gore, but when I opened up BT&F, I was blown away that I didn’t hate it. I enjoyed reading it, and didn’t find it out of place at all. It has definitely made me want to read the first two.

Wheel of Time

Before WoT, the longest fantasy series I had ever read was probably Harry Potter, and that was nowhere near as intense. WoT opened my eyes to what a fantasy world could really be, and I’d probably say it opened the gateway to my true love of fantasy books.

Stormlight Archive

There have been three books released in this series so far, and all three have literally made me cheer out loud in public places. They are truly brilliant pieces of literature, and I am checking at least once a week on when the next one will come out.

Devil in the White City

To be honest this book is probably the one that blew my mind the most. I wasn’t cheering or jumping up and down in excitement, but I was definitely hooked. I didn’t think I’d be more interested in the story of an architect more than the story of a serial killer.

What are some books that blew your mind, you know there’s at least a few!
Let’s talk about them in the comments or on social media!

Top 5 Tuesday: DEAR SANTA – I WOULD LIKE THESE 5 BOOKS!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday comes from the one and only, Bionic Book Worm. This is the last Top 5 Tuesday of the year, and the topic is 5 books that I want to find under the tree.

Mistborn – Wax and Wayne Series

I bought myself the original Misborn Trilogy some time ago, and fell in love after the first book. I’m in the process of finishing the original trilogy, and would love to see a book or two from the second series under my tree.

The Rhythm of War

Though not technically released yet, I have heard that the fourth book in the Stormlight Archive’s series can be pre-ordered for its’ 2020 release. It is probably my favourite series right now, so if Santa didn’t get this for me, you can bet I’ll get it for myself.

10 Games to Play in Your Head by Yourself

I heard about this book through a YouTube channel that I watch, and it sounded like a really interesting concept. It’s supposed to help you pass the time, so I thought it would be perfect for me.

The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek

Good Mythical Morning is one of my favourite YouTube channels to watch, and the two hosts Rhett and Link wrote a book together, so of course I want to get my hands on it to read it!

Surprise Me!

I have actually received a few books that were given to me that I didn’t ask for, and I have enjoyed them quite a bit. Just because its not on my list, doesn’t mean I won’t like it. Some times a random book will be a terrific find.

What are some of the books you want to find under your tree this Christmas? Let me know in the comments.
